Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
If you already have a Sky box in the lounge, and you've run some coax to say, the bedroom, you can watch Sky no problem - but you can't change the channels! Here is where the tvLINK comes in! It connects between the TV and the coax in the distant room, and instantly relays remote control commands to the Sky box in the lounge! Can also be used to hide your Sky digibox in a cupboard and still allow control from outside! To activate power for the tvLINK, do this on the Sky remote in the lounge: SERVICES, 4, 0, 1, SELECT, then select RF Power and turn it On, and Save.

5 out of 5 stars Bargain price just opt for this over any official Sky stuff works a treat   January 23, 2009

Originally I had one of them wireless transmitters which worked brill to my bedroom but since moving that received really bad interference from several wireless hot spots in the area and changing the wireless channels didn't seem to do anything to sort it.

So bought one of these. Works an absolute treat and the IR receiver on them are fantastic picks up the remote almost any angle and place in the room!

Easy to install and only requires the RF2 output on the Sky box to be powered on in the services menu.

5 out of 5 stars Works flawlessly with Sky HD along new cable   September 20, 2008

Using this neat and very well priced gizmo I can now (to the annoyance of my partner) change Sky HD channels from a different room. My full setup allowed for a new coax cable (CT100) to be run from the Sky HD box to the second TV which has proved flawless in operation. It is not routed through any other equipment and doesn't have to be plugged into the second TV aerial output (main picture and sound is through a seperate HD lead) - thus freeing this outlet up for the terrestial aerial input. You do have to follow the instruction as you must enable the output on the Sky box but in doing so product performed straight away.

Easy to set up and great value at the price, compared to sky branded types, can sometimes delay turning channels but this is minimal compared to normal everyday usage.

5 out of 5 stars simple & effective   December 31, 2009

It works; and controls a second TV off a Sky box (an older non-Sky+ box). However you do need instructions to access the hidden "installer" menu on the Sky box - Google it or look on these forums - and then it works straight away without any fuss. Recommended, and cheap!!
